It began with Joe, Gary and Keith
Goosehold started with Joe, his goose Gary and the bigger goose Keith: an everyday household made extraordinary by their personalities, misadventures and affection for one another. Their adventures grew into Goosehold books, including Gary Comes to Stay, and an expanding fictional universe.
Alongside that book world, Joe's nights of being “no sleepey” led to recurring bedtime stories: Gary making important announcements, Keith trying to keep order, monkeys joining the cuggles and Kwabs and Kwabby watching the chaos from their own little world. One story led to another, and the household developed its own running jokes, history and characters.
The Nest is the home for those bedtime adventures — somewhere to enjoy them rather than lose them in a long conversation. It welcomes readers into that world without requiring them to know every previous escapade.
